What are your hours?
Salt of the Earth Tattoo is generally open Monday through Friday from 11am-ish to 4pm-ish. Please be aware, sometimes we close early or take a day off. If you want to be sure you get that new tattoo, please schedule an appointment. If you are on island for vacation, we recommend you schedule your tattoo for the last full day you are on island.
How do deposits work?
Deposits are required to book an appointment and are generally $200. They apply to the cost of your
tattoo and are completely non-refundable. *This includes, but not limited to: travel changes/cancellations, illness, pandemic, alien invasion, acts of God, you change your mind about the tattoo. If your tattoo requires more than one session, your deposit will be used on your final session.
What if I need to reschedule?
We understand shit happens and are more than willing to reschedule your appointment, but you must contact us at least 48hrs before your appointment. If it is less than 48hrs, your deposit will be lost and you will be required to leave an additional deposit (sometimes this will be more than the original $200). We allow ONE reschedule.
Why are deposits non-refundable?
Deposits help to ensure clients show up for their appointment. Our artists often spend a great deal of time creating the artwork for your tattoo. Artists also set aside time for you in their schedule and often will have
turned away other work in order to tattoo you. Not showing up for an appointment or rescheduling at the last minute means your artist loses the opportunity to make a living that day. They also do not have an opportunity to fill the vacant space in their schedule.
What forms of payment to you accept?
Tattoos are cash only. We do however, accept deposits through our online shop.
Can I see the artwork before my appointment?
Clients are presented artwork the day of the tattoo. Our artists do not email tattoo drawings. If any changes need to be made to your design, they will happen the day of your appointment. Trust your artist :)If you are not confident in your artists ability to create your vision, you should continue to research artists until you find one that you are comfortable with.
